How will you notify me if my child needs me?
All children preschool age and under will receive a wristband during our Sunday programs. When parents are needed, their specific number appears above the front screen in the worship center. Parents then go to the Family Registration Desk, where the desk workers match parents and children.
How old does my child have to be?
Discovery Land offers Sunday ministries for children 6 weeks through 6th grade. AWANA on Tuesday night is for children 2 years before kindergarten to 6th grade. To learn more about our youth programs for youth 7th grade and older, please visit our Student Ministries web site.
Is your children’s Sunday morning program the same at each service?
The programming and curriculum taught at the 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. are the same. Children 2 years old through preschool are combined, as are kindergarteners through 6th grade during our 5:00 p.m. service.
Do you have plans for expansion?
Yes, we are in the process of adding on to Discovery Land right now! The addition will include additional classrooms, larger worship areas and a giant tree house mission station! The expected completion date for the entire AAC expansion is spring 2013.
Is there a fee?
Our Sunday BTB2Life program is free of charge. Our Tuesday evening program, Awana, has a minimal cost which covers books, fees, uniforms, etc. The costs are listed on the registration.
Do I have to be a member to bring my kids to Discovery Land?
No, you don’t have to be a member. Everyone is welcome in Discovery Land!
Can I stay with my child?
We welcome you to stay with your child to observe. Simply stop at the Family Registration Desk and they will assist you. Because we value your children’s safety, we strictly monitor who is in the Discovery Land facility during our learning sessions. Thank you for your understanding.
