Overview

Sundays in Discovery Land
Welcome to Bringing the Bible to Life (BTB2Life)! Our goal is to provide your children with a quality, kid-friendly Christian education in a safe environment. Your child will ‘walk through’ the Bible every 3 years. BTB2Life is a year-round program – we focus on the Old Testament in the summer and fall and the New Testament in the winter and spring.
Your children will be challenged to fully understand the truth through a biblical worldview*. Students will explore God’s special purpose for each of their lives. Bible knowledge, hands-on learning, and life application will captivate your child as they grow in their relationship with God and one another. They will unpack exciting Bible lessons to impact their life for eternity!
A person with a biblical worldview makes decisions based on:
- KNOWING what is right: the truth of the Bible, which is unchanged by time or circumstance – then…
- THINKING about what is right: takes that Bible truth to heart – then…
- DOING what is right: puts the Bible truth into action – then…
- FEELING right about doing the right thing!
- Know Right! - Challenge kids to know the Word of God - II Timothy 2:15
- Think Right! - Memorize and meditate (to think deeply about) on the Word of God - Psalm 1:2
- Do Right! - The challenge to live God’s Word - James 1:22
- Feel Right! - The result of putting God first in your life! - Psalm 23

Bibles and belongings
Because students are taught how to use and study their Bible, K-6th graders should bring a Bible to Sunday’s BTB2Life.
Discovery Land uses the NIV version. NIV Bibles can be purchased at the Discovery Land Bookstore or the Family Christian Bookstore.
Preschool age and under do not need to bring Bibles.
Please mark names on all belongings: Bibles, jackets, etc.
Health and Safety
Your child’s health and safety are very important to us. Please see the guidelines below:
Safety - Preschool and Early Childhood
- Children and their parent will receive matching wrist-bands upon check-in.
- We will display the number on the wrist-band in the Worship Center if your child needs you during service.
- If you will be in a class or at a different location, please inform the check-in person.
- The person wearing the matching wrist-band is the ONLY person who may check your child out of their room.
Safety - Kindergarten-5th Grade
Students 5th grade and under must be picked up by an adult in their classrooms immediately following the service. To ensure your child’s safety, older siblings are NOT allowed to pick up students.
We screen and do background checks on all Discovery Land staff and volunteers for your children’s protection.
Wellness Policy
If your child has displayed any of the following symptoms within the last 48 hours, please keep him/her with you for the day.
Coughing, fever, sore throat, runny nose, vomiting, eye discharge, rash, diarrhea or has a communicable disease.
Allergies
If you child has allergies, please attach an allergy sticker (located at the DL Information Booth) to their nametag.
It is the responsibility of the parent to make us aware of allergies!
