One-2-One

What is One2One?

One2One helps children who need individualized attention to get the most out of Discovery Land.  By partnering them with a volunteer, or "sidekick," we can help nurture their relationship with God by overcoming physical limitations, lack of focus, or behavioral issues.

Parents, teachers, sidekicks, and the One2One Coordinator work together through open communication.  Our goal is to provide the best opportunities for children to learn about God and have fun in Discovery Land.

Who benefits from One2One?

One2One is for students ages six month through sixth grade who need extra help to be successful on Sundays at BTB2Life or during Awana on Tuesdays.  The ministry is not just for children with diagnosed disabilities, but also for those who need a little one-on-one attention to be successful.  A child can be in One2One long-term or temporarily, depending on their needs.

Who's investing in my child?

Sidekicks - A dedicated sidekick will help your child with activities and transitions, as well as behavioral and physical issues.  They seek to build a loving, trusting relationship so your child can grow closer to God.  Gaining insight from guardians and teachers helps the sidekick understand your child's individual personality and spiritual walk with Christ.

Teachers - Teachers work with the One2One Coordinator, parents, and sidekicks to include every child to the greatest degree possible during program activities.  They also pray for and invest in the spiritual lives of all the children in their class.

"Without the support of the One2One program our family would be unable to attend worship and continue to strengthen our relationship with Christ.  This program is the answer to our prayers." --Julie Easton (Her children, Evan and Wesley, benefit from the One2One ministry.)
