Sparks (K – 2nd Grade)

What is Sparks?

Kindergarten-2nd Grade
Tuesday Nights, 6:30-8:10 p.m.

Sparks is an exciting experience for kids who want to grow spiritually while having fun! Sparks is packed full of great activities. We have a worship time, speakers, game time, handbook room time, and one-on-one time with leaders who help Sparkies memorize and understand God's Word. Sparks will be the highlight of your child’s week!

Registration

Register online for the 2011-2012 year. We strongly recommend you register online. Want to try Sparks before registering? No problem! Stop by our visitor check-in when you arrive at Sparks. Visitors and friends are always welcome!

Schedule

6:20-6:30  |  Doors open!
Kids should...

  • Get nametag or check in at Visitor Table (kids who are not registered will need to stop at the visitor table each week.)
  • Check in at the check-in table
  • Sparks can say verses at the Express Lanes if they choose

2nd Graders: Pick up nametag, stop at the check-in table and head into the 2nd grade worship room.
Kindergarteners - 1st Graders: Pick up their nametags, stop at their check in table and head over to the K/1st Grade Worship Area for their fun game!
Visitors (or if your child does not have a nametag): Stop at the Sparks Visitor area and then head off to their grade’s worship.

6:30-7:05  |  Worship | Counsel Time
Worship God through music and learn how to apply biblical truth.

7:10-8:00  |  Handbook | Game Time Rotations
Sparks will go either to their Handbook room or Game Time, then switch.
Handbook Rooms: Sparks will join in a small group game and recite verses to their Handbook Listener. Your child will have the same Handbook Listener each week. Take advantage of that consistent connection!
Game Time: Providing safe, God honoring fun is our primary goal. Sparks play team-building games with their peers. They learn teamwork, patience, kindness and how to put others first - all while having a great time!

8:05-8:10  |  Ending Time
Sparks MUST be picked up by an adult! Sparks are not allowed to leave Discovery Land without an adult. Thank you for helping us keep your child safe!

  • KINDERGARTEN: Pick up in D118-120.
  • 1ST & 2nd Grade: Pick up in Discovery Land

Sparks Drive In Movie Night

Tuesday, January 31
This is a Sparks favorite! Parents and Sparks can ‘build’ a car out of cardboard boxes, laundry baskets; use your imagination! Then bring it in for our Drive-In Movie*! During Game Time, Sparks will enjoy a movie, popcorn and a drink. All Sparks will participate, whether they bring a car or not!

* Cars MUST be taken home that night!
