What is Truth
and Training?
T&T is a FUN, high-energy
place where third through sixth graders build
friendships, memorize God's Word, see how the Bible
applies to their life, and play team-building games.
What's New?
This year's T&T theme is
WIPEOUT. One reason why this theme applies more than
ever is because much of T&T is NEW! To help you
understand what to expect (and PARENTS, to help you
understand registration), below are some changes to
T&T:
NEW Ultimate Adventure
(U.A.) Books One and Two:
For all third and fourth graders, they will be going
through the Ultimate Adventure Books. The logo is
different, but the material is the same. Trusting
Christ for salvation is the Ultimate Adventure!
NEW Ultimate Challenge
(U.C.) Books One and Two (previously Books Three &
Four): For all new or veteran 5th and 6th
graders, they will see new uniforms, patches,
awards, and ways to connect with them in their busy
world! Not only will they prayerfully build a deeper
relationship with God, they will also learn more
about His reason for making them and the plans He
has for their lives. Living for and standing firm
for God in a distracting world is the Ultimate
Challenge!
**Please note that the old Books Three and Four are
THE SAME as U.C. Books One and Two.
Uniforms and Awards:
New Ultimate Adventure Streamwood Discovery
Awards, new Ultimate Challenge Discovery Patches
(and Jersey look), and new Book Awards will bring a
clean start to the T&T Club!
Start and End: We
will start and end Awana T&T in the Worship Center,
instead of the Boiling Point. See you there around
6:20 p.m. for some Minute to Win It Challenges!
New Parent Books:
Parents, this is a GREAT way to learn how to spend
time with God, in addition to growing alongside your
child. Not only does it challenge you as the
spiritual leader of your home, these books draw you
closer to our God!
What Book
will your child be in this year?
All 3rd grade students
will go through the Start Zone and U.A. Book One.
New 4th grade students
will go through the Start Zone and U.A. Book One. If
they finish the book during the year they will have
an opportunity to continue on and work through U.A.
Book Two.
Returning 4th grade
students who have finished book one will be in
U.A. Book Two. Those who have not finished book one
will need to finish it before moving on to U.A. Book
Two.
New 5th grade students
will go through the Start Zone and U.C. Book One.
Returning 5th grade
students who completed old Books One and Two
will continue on into U.C. Book One. Returning 5th
graders who have not finished Book One or Two have a
choice: They may either finish the book they are
currently in or begin with Start Zone and U.C. Book
One.
New 6th grade students
will go through the Start Zone and U.C. Book One. If
they finish the book during the year, they will have
an opportunity to continue on to U.C. Book Two.
Returning 6th grade
students who completed old Books One, Two and
Three will go directly into U.C. Book Two.
Returning 6th graders
who have not finished old Book One or Two may
either continue in the book they are in or begin
with Start Zone and U.C. Book One.
Returning 6th grade
students in old Book Three will complete that
book and go to U.C. Book Two.
Interested in getting
the Timothy Award? All four T&T books (old 1-4
OR U.A. 1-2 & U.C. 1-2) must be completed to earn
the Timothy Award.
Fifth and 6th graders who
start in the Ultimate Challenge series and complete
both books do have the option to go back and
complete the Ultimate Adventure Books.
